Journaling — Why should be a must?

I call my journals: Morning Pages

I have been journaling on and off for the past three years. I’ve discovered a direct correlation between journaling and my elevated mood. The reason for this uplifted mood is that journaling makes me accountable. Every day, I engage in a 20-minute conversation with myself through text, also known as journaling. During this time, I reflect on my dreams and assess whether I am actively working towards them. I cannot deceive is myself. If I haven’t lived the previous day to its fullest potential, I can acknowledge and record that in my journal.

Journaling extends beyond career considerations; it encompasses all aspects of oneself. It delves into relationships with friends and family, the desire for adventure, the aspiration for self-improvement, and the commitment to physical fitness. When you initiate a dialogue with yourself, everything is captured.

Next to my journal, I keep a piece of paper where I jot down the day’s tasks. This practice ensures that my aspirations align with my actions throughout the day. This alignment, I believe, contributes to a greater sense of inner peace.
