Workout as a habit (WAAH!)

Waah also means wow in Hindi. So, I have been working out for 8 years on and off now. But in the last 4 months I gained the most muscle and currently I am in my best shape as I did few things differently:

  • Eat 150 grams of protein daily. I realized workout is just one half of the puzzle, the other half is food - Good nutritious food. I start my day with apple, blueberry, banana, oat & protein smoothie, which gives my half the calories I need for the day and energy.
  • Only go max 80% of my 1 Rep Max on weights. Since, the goal is to workout continuously for months or years without risk of injury. In past whenever I have gone close to pushing myself out to my maximum limit, I have also gotten more injured and broke out my workout routine. Remember what you’re optimizing for max weight or longevity.
